Our Philosophy

Inside-Out Learning is a global consulting firm based in Arizona. We change people from the inside out with our in-person and virtual programs, helping them transform their companies with increased employee engagement, improved retention, increased promotions, and revenue growth.

Dr. Sharon Lamm-Hartman

Dr. Sharon Lamm-Hartman is Founder and CEO of Inside Out Learning, Inc. (IOL), an award‐winning global leadership, team and organization development consulting business. “Dr. Sharon” and IOL are active members of the Women’s President’s Organization (WPO). Only 3% of women-owned businesses gross the required revenue to qualify for WPO membership. IOL is certified with Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and Women Owned Small Business (WOSB). In addition to running IOL, Dr. Sharon is a global executive and presentation skills coach, leadership and organization development consultant, speaker, writer, educator, wife and mom.

With over 25 years of global experience, Sharon has worked across the United States and Europe as well as Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand for clients such as American Express, Virgin Orbit, GE’s Leadership Development Center, ExxonMobil, E*TRADE, ARCO Chemical, AstraZeneca, Fannie Mae, Arizona Society of CPA’s, Volvo, and the National Reconnaissance Office. She has designed and delivered over 3,000 innovative programs, including many women’s development and executive presence and presentation skills programs. Dr. Sharon has coached thousands of CEO’s, executives, educators, professionals, and entrepreneurs worldwide. She’s created and facilitated several TTT programs building a culture of leaders teaching leaders at her clients.

Dr. Fariba Alamdari has been a senior consultant with Inside-Out Learning Company for the past 5+ years. Fariba is one of our top IOL certified facilitators and consistently receives 5-star ratings as a facilitator and as one of our top executive coaches working with leaders to help them to establish a stronger and more impactful presence. She is frequent speaker on issues related to leadership development and the importance of diversity and inclusion. She has done a TEDx talk on the “Power of Diversity”.

With over 20 years of experience in training as a Professor and a Dean in academia, and for nearly 14 years in the Boeing company she has gain extensive experience in both training executives and leading large organizations. She has trained executives and trainers for large aviation companies all over the world in the last 34 years. She believes in effective assessment of the needs and learning style of the trainees, clarity in objectives and material presented, skills in leading discussion, listening effectively and having emotional intelligence to keep the trainees engaged and interested. Providing concise training material, and facilitation process documentation as well as post training support are crucial parts of effective transfers of the knowledge and skills of a Training the Trainers process.

She is a former Vice President of Marketing Strategy the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, and Global Learning Institute for the entire Boeing Company.

In 2006, Fariba was recruited by Boeing from Cranfield University in the UK where she served as the Chair of Department of Air Transport, and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Manufacturing and Science where she taught and mentored many of the industry executives of today.

Fariba is recipient of awards including: "Ellis Island Medal of Honor“ from The National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO), “Woman of the Year” by Air Transport News, "Leadership Award” from the Centre for Women & Democracy, the “Professional Achievement Award’ from Women of Color, “Professional Practice Recognition Award” from State University of New York in, and “Sorenson Best Paper Award” for the paper on “Marketing to Female Business Travelers”.

Currently she serves on the Advisory Board of Foster School of Business Center for Leadership & Strategic Thinking, University of Washington. She has served as the Chair of the Chancellor Advisory Board of University of Washington Bothell, and several nonprofit boards.

Marsha has been a Senior Consultant with IOL for over 9 years and is our lead facilitator of our Authenticity Code programs across our clients. She consistently receives 5-star ratings and participants adore her sense of humor as she makes every program fun and engaging. She is also an IOL executive coach and offsite facilitator. She is responsible for training and evaluating new facilitators at IOL and has also taught train the trainer programs with Fred Pryor Seminars. Marsha has over 30 years’ experience serving as an executive and served as board member of Fortune 500 companies. As a former corporate executive, she has applied her extensive corporate background in the speaking industry and as an executive coach and trainer.

As the Executive Vice President of Westinghouse Financial Services/American Directory project, she worked on projects that helped companies succeed financially. Her ability to train and facilitate employees and executive teams in reaching corporate goals helped organizations achieve maximum results. Her positions have taken her to South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Mexico, Canada and every state in the U.S.A. Marsha has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, USA Today and more.

Marsha is a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment practitioner and a Certified Virtual Presenter. She has worked with the executive teams at Best Western International Hotels, Shell Oil Company, Quest Diagnostics, American Express, Boeing, major hospitals, world class law firms and more, helping them improve communications, reduce conflict, understand politics, change and culture, and polish presentation skills.

She also coaches corporate executives, teams, leaders, and employees who want to improve their skills in communications, platform presence, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. She capably addresses the generational divide, cultural diversity, gender differences and change management in today’s environments. Marsha’s coaching clients include ‘C’ Suite executives, Medical Doctors, and Staff, as well as leaders within a variety of industries who want to improve their leadership, team dynamics, motivation, and mentoring skills.

She is an avid volunteer and is currently the Chair for Women’s Outdoor Media Association. Their annual project raises money for Foundation for Women Warriors, Navy Seals Family Foundation, the Arizona Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and more. Marsha received the Daughters of the American Revolution Community Service Award in 2020. Marsha’s best-selling books include The Reactor Factor: How to deal with difficult work situations without going nuclear, Toxic People: How to deal with difficult people without weapons or duct tape and The CEO of YOU: Leading yourself to success.

Marsha earned her Bachelor of Arts from the California State University at Long Beach and her Master of Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Phoenix. In addition, she attended the Darden School of Business.

Richard Hodge is a dynamic business leader with a gift for facilitating interactive business discussions.

He has created over 30 Train the trainer programs for leading solutions such as Blue EQ, Symphony and Coaching for Performance and facilitated leader training programs for BMS, Toyota, CNET, American Express, Nokie, Oracle, Salesforce etc. Have specifically trained and coached leaders to run breakout sessions and facilitate experiential learning sessions for University of Phoenix, Amgen, UPS, and others.

Richard is co-author of the book, The Mind of the Customer: How the World’s Leading Sales Forces Accelerate their Customer’s Success. In writing this book Richard incorporated his years of experience working in various fields developing and marketing intellectual capital. He has just finished a new research report about how the leading corporations are developing their next generation of leaders. The white paper came out January 2019 called five Truths and a Lie. Richard founded the Real Learning Company and served as its President and CEO over 20 years ago where he focused his energy on the development of new breakthrough learning systems and the company’s development of provocative thought leadership in the sales, management, and leadership areas.

Richard has led his team in developing new learning programs for clients such as American Express, Bristol-Myers Squib, DaimlerChrysler, Lexus, Nokia, Symantec, Time Warner, Toyota, University of Phoenix and UPS. Richard’s career has taken him across industries and all levels of management and leadership. His early career was spent with AT&T and Occidental Petroleum. Richard then entered the business software arena and held various executive level positions with leading organizations such as Foresight Systems, United Computing Systems and Execucom. During this period, Richard additionally sat as a director on a variety of boards around the United States. Prior to founding the Real Learning Company Richard worked with an elite team to acquire, reorganize, and turn around several software and hardware global organizations. Over the past several years Richard has become closely involved with several corporate leaders to help them drive strategic change.

Renée has a proven track record of successfully transforming organizations and departmental capabilities for high performance achievement enabling a more engaged workforce to realize additional potential and achieve strategic objectives. She is an expert Facilitator and Leadership Coach. She has designed, implemented, and overseen several retooling programs throughout her career. Renée is skilled at delivering in person and online learning and she supplements newly acquired knowledge with a Train the Trainer approach, Learning Cohorts, and/or Community of Practices to ensure new skills are transformed into proven capabilities.

Renée brings 25+ years of Strategy, Organizational Effectiveness, Executive Coaching, Speaking, Leadership Development, Facilitation, Change Management, and Transformation experience to large Fortune 500 companies, such as Accenture, American Express, Pearson Education, and Freeport McMoRan. She served in Senior Leadership roles of mid-sized organizations such as PowerSchool, an education software company, and Neudesic, a systems integrator and Microsoft reseller recently acquired by IBM. Renée has also partnered with local technology startups in the greater Phoenix area by serving in their C-Suite and as an Executive Coach to CEOs.

Most recently, Renée created and facilitated an online Strategic Planning process for Freeport McMoRan where she partnered with the C-Suite to develop key strategic themes and a roadmap that guided a series of online workshops with 180 people across the world resulting in clearly defined projects ready for immediate action. Renée also helped design and implement a Leadership Development curriculum for Freeport McMoRan that spanned all North and South America helping to upskill Site General Managers and their direct reports. Renée served as Head Coach to other training professionals, and she leveraged site-based Learning Cohorts to create a community of learning and cement the newly acquired skills for the 150 program attendees.

Renée resides in Phoenix, Arizona, but originally hails from Michigan where she earned her undergraduate degree in Finance at Michigan State University. Renée is personally committed to continued learning throughout her career and currently holds certifications in Prosci® Change Management, Agile Leadership with Scrum Alliance® in CAL-E and CAL-T, and Executive Leadership at the USC Marshall School of Business.
